MAY | A Month In Review

What a perfect month it was! From the up and down weather of 2nd and 3rd winter then transitioning straight to summer, it is nice to see that the sun has decided to stay. Speaking of sunshine, Sarah Milne Photography went international for the first time and I was lucky to be a part of such a beautiful wedding in Mexico!! A large, hilarious group of some of my dearest friends spent a week in pure tropical bliss at the Xcarat resort in Playa Del Carmen. I  went out of my comfort zone and did some repelling into a cave, some zip lining and snorkelling in the cenotes of the mayan jungle. We met with a Mayan elder and were lucky to have been part of an ancient ceremony after visiting the Mayan ruins in Tulum. We enjoyed a kid-free, boozy week full of perfect weather, dancing, and more laughs than I've had in a long time (and that's saying a lot because I am generally a very happy person). Of course, the week would not have been possible if it weren't for the bride and groom - stay tuned for an upcoming post of Aaron + Jessica's wedding. In other irrelevant news to you, we're preparing our trailer for a fun season of family camping (where's the bug spray?!). My daughter started soccer - I don't know if you've ever watched a group of 5 years olds play a game of soccer, but spoiler alert, it's the perfect balance of hilarity and chaos rolled into an hour. AND..... not one but TWO of my very best friends gave birth just days apart! Give me all the babies!! I had the absolute pleasure of meeting sweet Eleanor. And I cannot wait for another visit to New Brunswick to meet baby Eli. All in all, May has been a glorious month and it will be a hard one to top. Looking forward to the summer!!

I didn't bring my camera on my excursions off-resort so the following images are courtesy of the photographers at All Tour Native Expeditions.
